Explore the Pacific Museum of Earth at your own pace. Our two galleries have many interactive elements and informational exhibits for people of all ages! Educators and other group leaders are welcome to design their own lessons or take advantage of the resources here on our website.
Though self-led visits are free alongside museum admission (donations are encouraged!), booking your visit with us in advance allows us to better coordinate the use of our gallery space by different groups, and schedule staff accordingly. This does not guarantee your group will have sole use of the gallery or any facilitation by staff. However, booking self-led visits is greatly appreciated by the PME team for groups of 15 or more participants!

Resources
It is highly encouraged that your group allows for time before or after the program to explore the museum freely and fully. Access our educator resources, a virtual tour, and learn more about our exhibits in advance to make the most of your visit to the Pacific Museum of Earth!
Accessibility Notes
Most programs involve some time moving around the museum, which features level flooring and no lips or steps. Many activities take place in our programming room, which adheres to UBC guidelines with an approximate entrance (doorway and door together) width of 32 inches. However, the physical flow of each program is readily adaptable to suit the needs of any particular group so that everyone can participate in a way that works for them. Please include a note in your booking request or email us at pmebookings@eoas.ubc.ca to let us know how we can meet the access needs of your group. More details on accessibility at the museum can be found here.
We understand that some schools and community organisations may be facing socioeconomic barriers to accessing programming at the PME. If the cost of programming is a barrier to you, please reach out to us — we would be happy to work out a reduced rate or payment structure that accommodates your needs. We offer free bookings for Indigenous groups, including First Nations, Métis, and Inuit groups, Indigenous community programs and educational initiatives.
