The Pacific Museum of Earth is part of the Department of Earth, Ocean & Atmospheric Sciences (EOAS) at the University of British Columbia. The faculty and staff of EOAS contribute their time and expertise to support the development of new exhibits and outreach programming at the museum. This support allows us to fulfill our core mission by showcasing processes happening at Earth’s surface, within its interior, atmosphere, and ocean, as well as processes happening on other planets in our solar system.
The EOAS faculty and their graduate students tackle some of the most enigmatic and challenging topics in science. Keep up with EOAS news, new faculty hires, and research highlights drawn from interviews, discussions and department-sponsored activities through our department’s annual magazine, Earth Matters.
