May 2 – 17 – Science Odyssey
Some special programming is planned for sometime during those 2 weeks. Mary Anning Day is already planned, and falls on the final day, so we can count that as part of the celebration! (Mary Anning was one of the most successful fossil collectors of the 1840’s.)May 17 – Mary Anning Day at the Museum of Vancouver.
– Come to see and touch a wide collection of fossils. Open all day long.
– In particular, come and attend the matinee panel discussion with some local paleo-women. They’ll share stories from the field, as well as why they “dig” palaeontology!May 28 – 3:00 – 7:00 New Westminster Farmer’s Market.
